Same Purchasing Organization in different Company Code

HI Gurus

Need your valuable input. Is it possible to have the same Purchasing Organization for different Company Code? We have 2 legal entities in India but we want to setup only 1 purchasing organization. In terms of legal, is this advisable to do so? As far as I know in terms of CIN it can be segregated by Plant since we are having different plant for different legal entities.

Yes, it is possible to have single purchasing organization for two company codes. But for such case purchasing org will be assigned to plants rather to company code. If you assign purchasing org to company code then it will procure for that cocd only.

• A purchasing organization can be assigned to several company codes. (= Corporate-group-wide purchasing).
• A purchasing organization can be assigned to one company code. (= Company-specific purchasing).

and Plant has separate excise registration ECC no and vat number
