Hello MM Gurus,
The Business Process is as follows.
There are certain items which are being issued on returnable basis (some items are issued for Demo purpose and after some days items will be returned
back). When the item is issued on returnable basis, the quantity should not get
reduced. How to handle this scenario in SAP? When the item is issued on
returnable basis for demo purpose, a delivery note should also accompany the
item. How to design this delivery note on the basis of movement type?
Kindly respond ASAP as the requirement is urgent

Hi Yoga,
This is possible by using relevant material type (like returnable packing material) and you maintain appropriate general item category group in Basic data 1 view & item category group in Sales org 2 view.
System determines the relevenat item category in delivery based on the material type & item category group combination. We need to configure the appropriate movement type for the item category of deliver line item.
Please let me know if you require any further help.
Thanks & regards

Hi
There is no particular movement type for this purpose.
here is a work around :
Issue the material on Movement type 311 ( assuming that it is with in the plant) from main stores to some production storage location ( say).
After Demo is completed make the stock transfer to main stores.
If some qty is destroyed , that much qty to to be issued to particular cost center ( movement type 201).
hope it works.

Hi Yoga
I dont know it is really a correct way or not but for ur scenario this is the first thing came to my mind...please ignore it if you think it is a foolish advise..
Why dont you create a new mvt type for returning the material but just make sure that you should make settings such a way that qty update should not happen when u use this mvt type. u can do this in OMJJ.
