Returnable Gate Pass

Hi Friends,

My client is sending material on returnable gate pass for sample ( that is to show to the vendor, what exactly , he wants). and after two days, he will recieve the same. so please explain, how to map this?.will be rewarded.....

Prasanna,

There are other things you need to consider before proposing a solution to your client.

1. Is this a regular process at their end?

2. What is the cost of such samples? If the cost is high, does your client want to ensure that the Vendor bears the cost of the sample if he damages it?

If it is a regular practice at their end or the cost is too high, you can suggest the Ext Service Management with the Samples being the input for the Service. The service here will be non-valuated.

If the cost is not high and it is a rare event, then you suggest a temporary removal for QI using M.Typ 331/332 or 333/334 and manage the return of sample from Vendor manually. This would save your development effort and the excess procedure/dcoumentation at the client.

Suggest as per your convenience.
