Req approval process with Purchasing groups

Hi Gurus,

Can anybody please help me with this. I need to setup the req approval process with purchaisng groups. how do i do that? The scenario is this: 1) A computer is requested and it is worth 1200 USD and the requestor puts the pur grp in the PR. since this is level 1 the email should only go to one person. ( The levels are 1000 -4999 - level1, 5000 - 9999 level2, 10000 and above level3). Can anybody please help me with this. Quick response is greatly appreciated

HI,

You an create a characteristics for Purchasing group and assign to class, Now create release strategies depending on the values as you require for PO.

select the relese process with class

finally you will have "Workflow"

click on that

it will ask for the Group, code and OT and Agent ID.

add the values here

and activate the event linkage in the workflow t code SWDD.

select the workflow by application structure

Create Characteristics & link to comm. structre (CEBAN for PR)

Create Class & link to characteristic

Create Release Groups & link to class

Create Release Codes

Release Indicator

Set up strategies

- Strategies & Codes

- Prerequeirements

- Status

- Assign values for strategies

Set overall / item for doc type (PR only)

Create and allocate autorisation profiles

Hi Anusha,

Release Procedure can be set up for the Purchase requisitions/Purchase orders, based on the conditions setup in the PR/PO.

Automatic email will be triggered,which is a workflow customization.

This is a pretty standard release strategy process. Go through the config notes on PReq release starategy using classification. Also for e-mail triggers, you need to configure a workflow, so connect with your workflow expect or ABAP team member

Can you please throw some more light on this. In the workflow part, we have Releasse group, release code, agent id, etc. how will we use these and get my object achieved. Os release group and pur grp both same?
