Hi experts,
I have gone through the post regarding REM and just want to clear my doubts and confirm with you people.
1. you cannot track the production with respect to planned order. Than how to track the past production which date how much and what we produced. In md62 we can see the bal qty to be produced.
2. we can confirm in MFBF the produced qty, activity and component, Is it the same we do in discrete in CO11N and cost is updated. Do we have to define the STD value key for the production line .
3. What will be the method of tracking in REM for different material planned order, like in discrete we have different order type and No range . but here all the production is carried out with order type PE. SO from user point of view what will be thing so that they can understand what manufacturing is going on by seeing the planned order etc, like in discrete we have different no range and order type to identify.
please answer my querries and correct me if I have understood something wrong.
Regards
Mona

Dear Mona,
1.Planned order tracking or planned order no tracking for the confirmation made is not possible in REM scenario.
2.You can execute MF12 to identify the planned order confirmation's made (not the exact planned order no gets displayed here
and you will come to know whether it has been made against a planned order or is it a direct assembly backflush without any
planned order, activity backflush, component backflush etc).
3.Normal routing/rate routing can be used and based on the rate/activity type/cost center combination the costs gets captured
for the activity for the confirmation made and the same gets accumulated in the product cost collector.
4.You cannot get any standard report for the planned order confirmations.

Thanks to both of you.
Very good and clear answer .
one more doubt I know that we can make changes in planning table and MRP will give priority to the planning table instead of md61 . but my question is what is the importance of MD50 the same changes can be made in MD61 also.
I mean when and for what MD50 is used.
Regards
Mona
Hi Mona,
MD61 is used to create a planned indepenedent requirements for a material . This the way you can generate the demand for a material on planning side manually. Once MRP is run system will generate planned orders to satisfy MD61 PIR's.,
MD50 is analyssis and planning tool for REM. You can not create PIR like MD61 in planning table. MD50 is primararily used as a scheduling and sequencing tool for planned orders. It is also used for capacity evaluation and levelling of the production line in REM.
if required to balance the production lines, planned order dates can be changed or new planned orders can directly be created in MD50 planning table.
For more details check planning section of below SAP help. It describes MD50 functaionlity in details.

Hi Monalisa,
1. you cannot track the production with respect to planned order. Than how to track the past production which date how much and what we produced. In md62 we can see the bal qty to be produced.
Ans: You can use transaction MF12 to check for documented backflushes. You can also check LIS transactions like MCP8 ( for GR analysis ect..) check EVALUATION section in SAP EASY ACCESS MENU in REM.
2. we can confirm in MFBF the produced qty, activity and component, Is it the same we do in discrete in CO11N and cost is updated. Do we have to define the STD value key for the production line .
Ans: Yes MFBF does basically same activaities as of CO11n. Cost is updated to product cost collector instead of prod order. yes you still have to define STD value key.. thats how activity's can be costed.
Ans: you can use planning table MF50 to analyse the planning and porduction situation. You can not distinguish based on planned order number but you can distingusih based on production line in planning table.
check and revert.
