Regarding using T.code - MI10

Hello All,

At my client, they are purchasing one material on large scale basis and they finds daily difference in stock in SAP and actual stock.

So we want to use MI10 T.code at the end of the day. Is it OK to use that transaction daily basis to correct the stock, because the correction of stock is essential for my client on daily basis for all department report basis.

they don't want to use physical inventory procedure as it takes some more time....

suggest me the way.

MI10 is a SAP given transaction for physical inventory, it just combines several transactions from physical inventory (creating document, count entry, posting difference) into one.

so there is nothing wrong in using it.

Hi there

Actually it is not advicable to correct the stock on daily basis, even though the qty of diff is smaller, but you can do it in SAP,

Also the reason should be justify the correctness of qty on daily basis, you cant simply says that damaging the Qty, Poor Qulaity or some other thing, even you can maintain and enter in SAP at the time of Mi07/Mi10.

And one more point if the difference on every day vary from postive(701) and Negative (702), it is advicable to do atleast two weeks once, so that you can get the least adjustments,,

Ex:

1st day 10+

2nd day 20-

3rd day 10+

So finally diff is NIL...

In terms of audit there may be a chance to raise the qtn on this practice and they may suggent to find out the diff solution,,

It is just MY opinion,,

Thanks
