Hello,
Thanks for your quick reply, but my clients requirement is as below.
BTU 0.0000010 MMBTU
MMBTU 1000000 BTU
I have defined BTU & MMBTU in the system but I am stuck at the conversion factor
Please ignore the above screenshot which is in Joule, I require the conversion in BTU n MMBTU
Thanks & Regards,
Krishna
Joule is the SI unit.
so you define a conversion from MMBTU to Joule and a conversion from BTU to Joule.
If you then create a material master with a base unit BTU and you add MMBTU as alternative unit, then SAP is able to take the right conversion between BTU and MMBTU itself based on the conversion rates to Joule from your customizing
Hi,
For accessing to t.code: CUNI, consult basis consultant but why you are editing already created Unit of measure setting!
For energy, you already have Unit of measure as J for Joule(1kg. m2/ s2) which is SI UNIT in system , so no need to create a new one. Also you have other units such as KJ( Kilojoule), KWH(Kilowatt hours),MWH(Megawatt hour) and MJ(Millijoule).
For creating new Unit of measure, based on natural calculation of your unit– you can decide Numerator and Denominator.

This is only display and you cannot change it here.
you have to define the relation for the required UOM with the SI unit of measure for the same metric using the numerator and denominator
for E.g i kilo joule will have 1000 in numerator and 1 in denominator since joule is the SI unit of energy.
you may do the setting in CUNI > unit of measurements for the deisred metric ( energy , area etc )
