Hi,

I know that with the Tcode-BMBC-Batch Information Cockpit, we can get the details of batches in a specific plant. This is my understanding by seeing the tcode display screen.

I never worked on this. Can anyone explain me in detail, a)what is the use of this tcode,b) when this tcode is to be used,c)How to use this tcode if possible step by step if possible any document if available can be shared d) What is the output of this tcode? e) Is there any restrictions on selection criteria when executing this tcode. f) From which tables, output of this report is retrieved

Appreciate if someone responds to my above query. Thanks in advance.

Hi Aditya,

Batcha Management cockpit is used to view and modify batches based on specific selection criteria from a single screen window.

For details please refer to the link below:

Hi Bhaskar,Rupesh,Sharat,

Thanks a lot to all of for your valuable inputs. I could able to get some idea about this Tcode. Thanks Again.

1) I would like to know what are the possible values for "Expansion level" field in "Usage Tab" of BMBC tcode. What is the impact of it.

2) What is the functionality of Tcode-BMCC, what happens when we execute this tcode- BMCC.

I have rewarded points for your valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance for all of you.

Hi,

Please find my 2 Cents:

1) I would like to know what are the possible values for "Expansion level" field in "Usage Tab" of BMBC tcode. What is the impact of it.

A-->Expansion Level is Used for Bottom Up or Top Down Approach of A Batch Where Used list. After you provide a Seletion criteria for Batch selection and the results are displayed, llok at the top right corner of the screen for DETAILS. Click on it to get the Where Used. While you llok into Where Used, you can look up in multiple levels (much like component where used list!). Expansion Level field helps in selecting levels till which it will go (max 90 levels allowed)

You Can see the options of Bottom Up and Top Down Option once you click on the approach, it gives you the results:

For Example:

You have a Batch 07-003050 (for material say A)

and you click on Bottom Up Approach. This Batch is treated at the bottom and it looks in which Orders (like Production or Process Orders) where this Batch is Used and what is the output Batch of that Process Order and So ON.

2) What is the functionality of Tcode-BMCC, what happens when we execute this tcode- BMCC.

A--> I have not used it and so am not very conversant with this t/code. However to me it looks like checking and removing any inconsistencies in Batch Classification

and Yes Thanks for your points

Bhaskar

Dear,

Yes right Expansion Level is Used for Bottom Up or Top Down Approach of Batch Where Used list. For example if a batch for Raw material you want to know here it has consumed use bottom up analysis. Or If you have any delivery with batch now you just waana know how it got manufacture for that you can use Top Down analysis.

In BMBC go to Classification tab of the Selection section.

Input the batch class and enter.

Input the value of the characteristics and execute the selection.

In the layout of "selection result for batches", the characteristics of the batch class will be displayed. Also you can change the characteristics value too. Also this report you can use where use list for batches.

Hi Aditya,

Adding to the reply of Mr. Bhaskar, explosion level works as he explained to the level we restrict it to see in the report. See the below screens

Details of usage without explosion level

Explosion restricted to level 1

Hope it clears you, check the same in MB56 for batch where used.

Regarding BMCC - transaction for integrity check for batch consistency, when we run the transaction i got below options with list of batches

When i expand this i can get details of batch classification.

Try and lets check for any specific issue.

Hello Aditya,

It is difficult to mention or provide you detailed steps rather as other mentioned above, i would like to provide you similar links which help you to understand more on this. If you have any specific question on this then it would be answered.

What is BMBC?

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/61/c691381182d910e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm

Suggest you to go through below tabs in the link which gives you step by step details on how to test this.

If you have any test system where you have used batch management in your process then this helps you to test. Or else first you have to create the test data.

Hope you know the settings and application of using batch management, if not suggest you to search as already many threads are closed on the same.

Best of luck and best regards,

Sharat

BMBC is batch information cockpit, here should give plant ,material, batches This report will give data only for all  batches classification, changes. In BMBC transaction you will get batch tractability.
