Can anybody tell me what PS Module is all about and in what manner it works and it's associated modules.

You could also contact your local SAP training centre and take the couse PLM200 to get a business process overview.

Remember SAP PS is the most integrated module in SAP and you will need some SAP experience upfront to understand PS

PS module is used for managing projects

If in your company you have projects - internal, external, or investment then you will need PS - it will integrate with FI, MM, HR as for any project you need money, material and people.

It actually depends on the individual business requirement of each company.

SAP PS generally closely integrates with CO, SD, MM, HR etc..
