Hi,

I am using IDES ECC 6.0.

I am trying to modify the material description, Purchase order text for the existing materials 100-100 & 100-200 through client 800.

But after modifying the data, when I save the record system displaying the error "ERROR IN INPUT".

I am unable to save the data.

Please help me in understanding the reason and fix for the problem.

Thank you.

Here are the steps I executed:

Step1:

Step2: Enter Material Number

Step3:  Select Basic Data1 view

Step 4: Select Material description

Step 5: Change material description and Save the record. System displays error message “ERROR IN INPUT”.

Double click on the message and check the message number. I doubt, this is not a standard message.

It would be a custom message.

No message info / number available.  System is not responding for double click or selection of the error message " ERROR IN INPUT".

By looking up your message I am quite sure this is a custom message because its all in capital letters.

Kindly consult with your ABAP team to check the same by debugging.

If you know the debugging process, then debug the t-code and check the enhancement point.

Alternatively have a look into the blog post

Hi,

Probably it is not a database issue, so you should not be able receive solution from here.

You may need to post this issue in forum:

http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/logistics-mm?url_id=text-search-best-best-scn-community-erp-logisti...

Or if you are an SAP customer, you can just open SAP ticket under component LO-MD-MM.

However if you still believe it is an oracle issue, can you please show us more evidence?

Best regards,
James

You do not need to post same question to multiple forum. This would be a cross posting. I've alerted moderator to move this discussion to MM space.
