Can somebody give the questionnaire which has questions to be asked to the business before implementation? Or please provide me the questions.

Hello Sachin ,

It will be long list of questions in PP.But what I have followed as per various PP sub-process design in a manufacturing process , is listed below .U need to generate more questions on those topic .I am giving you a summery

1.Material related questions : What are the Material Tye ? What are the various material categoery? What are the Master Schedule Items? Provide list of various legacy material number ? What those number or syntax stands for ?

2. Master data-BOM,Routing,Work Centre related question:

BOM : Please supply a sample Bill of Material for a Mfg end item and mfg components

Routing : Please supply a current routing/operation list for an end item and a mfg component

Work Centre : Please supply a current work centre list for an end item and a mfg component

3.MRP/MPS related questionnaire : How do you plan your production ? Is there any Non-SAP MRP/MPS system ? How do they plan material in legacy system?

4.Capacity Requirement Planning related questionnaire : How is capacity planned - by production line, by operation, by workcenter, by department?.In what units do you perform capacity planning? Pieces, races, hours?

5.Production Order Execution and Management Related questionnare : What are the different stages that the product(s) go(es) through? Trace the flow of material as it is recd from suppliers to the point where it is shipped to customers as FG (if process flow chart or value stream avl. - pls provide).Describe your current production reporting method; Is it Batch v Real time?, do you report machine hours, labor hours, pieces? Do you currently backflush any operation reporting? Do production associates enter their own production reporting?.Describe your order closure/reconcilliation process.Please supply an example of a traveler/work order operation sheet that accompanies the product on the flow through the operations.What additional documentation accompanies material as the work order is routed through the shop floor?Supply examples of reports are used and generated to review production and labor reporting?.How are parts supplied to workcenters/ production line? What is the normal lifespan of a production order and are there any inventory stocking points in the mfg process from raw material to finished end item?

it contains almost 3600 questions out of which you need to specify questions relevant to you

Hi sachin,

Before approach to the client U should overlook the AS IS- current business process of the client i.e.Flow of raw material to the finish product. During such flow What strategy they preffered- make to stock/make to order. This strategy will trigger how production will execute.

How they create demand -daywise/monthly/ long term planning-transfer to PPC- PPC plan accordingly consider existing capacity/material stock/labours-transfer to production/logistics/purchasePurchase create procureemnt proposalslogistics issues material -Production execute this plan-send FG to warehouse--Dispatch.

Following factors influence PP.

1. no. of finish products--material types

2.Bill of material - most influencive factor--no. of materials include raw materials /semi finish/packing material. Even single material missed,planning of such material can't execute.

3.Routing -- detail list of operationstooling require for operationswhether inspection require.

4.work center-- Shift timedetail list of machinesNo. of labour require to execute opeartions

5. Reports-- No of report srequire to control productionIdle time reportOEE report--Rework/PPM report.

you should consider above factors while questions to client.
