Planning Scenario MS31

Dear all PP gurus,

Can you please tell me that what is the use of planning scenario MS31 and how to create it ?and what is the integration of it with FICO?

Dear Narayan,

MS31 is used to create a Planning scenario,which is the first step in LTP and it's no where related to

FICO,but using KSPP we can transfer the planned activity requirements to production which is more

related to CO - controlling.

Dear Patil,

LTP is just a simulation of the entire planning process . It is used by the planning department , finance persons and other top level management persons to check the effect of demands on inventory , capacity , budgets , profitabilty etc. Based on the results they will either adjust the demand or on the flip side they will decrease or increase the inventories , capacities etc.

Hi,

Planning scenario is used in Long Term Planning. We need to create a different demand versions and assign in the planning scenario and we can simulate and see the capacity constraints. This is the main use of the planning scenario. It is a inactive planning. There is no link with FICO directly.
