Hi,

-The MRP controller is responsible for all activities related to specifying the type,

quantity, and time of the requirements, in addition to calculating when and for what quantity an

order proposal has to be created to cover these requirements.

-The MRP controller needs all the information on stocks, stock reservations, and stocks on order to calculate quantities, and also needs information on lead times and procurement times to calculate dates.

-The MRP controller defines a suitable MRP and lot-sizing procedure for each material to determine procurement proposals.

-MRP controller can authorize any changes to the master plan before they

affect the various BOM levels.

hi,

It is nothing but the authority to control the MRP process..all the mails for the procurement go though the MRP conrtroller...

You can define MRP controllers from SPRO >> MM >> CBP >> Master data >>Define MRP controllers...

It is defined per plant...

uses:

1. Used for missing part messages at GR

2. Its a receipient for mail

MRP Controller is a person or group of persons responsible for a group of materials in MRP in a plant or company.Material that takes part in material requirements planning must be assigned to an MRP controller.(Materials Planner)

Hi,

MRP controller is the person who is responsible for plannig run in the plant or company.

You have to configure in plant parameters level.

The person responsible for a group of materials in MRP in a plant or company.

Material that takes part in material requirements planning must be assigned to an MRP controller.

SPRO-IMG-Material management-Consumption-Based Planning-Plant parameters- Maintain

While creating material master you maintain MRP views in MRP 1 view you have to maintain that MRP controller.

Displaying Where an MRP Profile Is Used

Unless indicated otherwise, the information contained in this info object is relevant to the material master for industry and to the article master for retail. Retail customers are requested to substitute:

article for material

requirements planning for material requirements planning or MRP

site for plant

stock planner for MRP controller

Procedure

In the Material Master menu, choose Profile ® MRP profile ® Usage.

The selection screen appears.

Enter the name of the profile. You can also enter a plant and MRP controller to restrict the selection. Then choose Execute.

Result

A list is displayed of the material master records in which the MRP profile is used. You now have the following options:

You can display or change the MRP profile by choosing Display profile or Change profile respectively.

You can display or change a particular material master record in which the MRP profile is used by choosing Display material or Change material respectively. In the material master for industry, the MRP view on the material master record appears, from which you can access the other views. In the article master for retail, the Display or Change Article: Initial Screen appears.
