Dear Experts,

It has been observed that Miro is allowed in the last period of previous fiscal year although the MM period is closed and i don't want the posting to happen . what could be the reason that this period remains open or how to close the period.

Should i do it using OMSY?? Can anyone plz suggest.

thanks,

Rahul

Hi,

Do not reset anything in OMSY.In OMSY , the setting done once for all.

Check in MM side in T.code: MMRV and see which period is open for ur Co.Code and back posting is allowed or not.If you want no back posting , remove the check box mark and save, which will allow for curent month posting only.

Also check in FI side in t.code: OB52 and see which periods are open in Account Types A, K, D,M, S and specially Account Type u201Cu201D which stands for valid for all accounts type ,If you want only one period posing, you can do setting here for A,K,D,M,S & *""*. Better consult FICO consultant for OB52 step.

Dear Experts,

Did'nt get any exact reason as the FI special periods remained opened for adjustment entries but MM period was closed n MIRO is related to MM period only so SAP by standard allows the last period of previous fiscal year to remain opened but it can be controlled by disallowing back posting through MMRV.

thanks,

Rahul

In the logistic invoice verification normally you can post to the

current period, to the previous period and to the last month of the

previous year. With transaction MMRV you can remove the flag 'Allow

posting to previous period'. This means posting is only possible in

current period and in the last month of previous year.

Please note that posting to the previous year is always possible

(independent of the flag 'Allow posting to previous per.') you will not

get the message M8 022.

As in this special case the previous period and the last month of the

previous year is identical therefore, it is possible to post to the

previous period as well.

As also stated in note 915554 you mentioned:

"If you are in period 01 and enter a posting date in period 12, you post

not only to the previous period, but also to the previous year. Since

you can always post to the previous year according to the standard

concept, the system does not issue message M8 022 even if the "Allow

posting to previous period" indicator is not set in the MARV table."
