MD79 Problem

Hi Experts,

When my user Downloaded the Report in MD79 he found particularly week number 31 (year 2010 )repeats 2 times,can anybody tell me why this problem occurs.

Note:We are uploading the datas (Requirements) thru Zprograms.

Hi Sainstrroms,

I have refered as you said the OSS note-589334,but i couldnot able to compare this notes with my problem,In my case we use Ztransaction to upload the file in text format requirements and where in case Md79 while downloading i found particular week ie week31 repeats twice.

Can you please sugget.

Hi Esperts,

Finally i observed that for the week 21 which falls on yearend (2010) week say for ex materila PILFG001 - 57 qty is the requirement but when i downlaod the excel file from MD79 i found for materila PILFG001 requirement is getting splitted for week 21 as qty 20 and qty 37.

Why this is happening.

Any ideas are suggestions would be really appreciated.

Kumar,

If your client has the backup copies of the uploaded data, I would suggest you to sit with ABAP person to debugg the program in a non-production client to see, what really went wrong.

There is no other option....Remmember nobody generally agree that they made a mistake. So some times it may be difficult to prove them back that they made mistake.

Hi Prasobh,

The ABAP team reverse the issue back to us,also we found another OSS note:883434 similar to this problem and i reply customer as we have referred the factory calendar for your plant XXXX in the month of May 2010, the starting day for the week 21 ie, 24/05/2010 is a holiday so your qauntiy has splitted for the week 21.

But now customer if he uploaded again the same requirement in zprogram he ask whether the quanity will get splitted or not.

Please help me to proceed further.

Kumar,

Do you meant to say 2 columns for the same week? Or you are getting 2 record rows? If record rows then check the version.

Can you also check in MD63 and let us know how you are seeing when you going for display with period as week. I suspect, that some requirment which was created in Month or Year was latter split to Week and also there was already a PIR entered for week.

Say for example:

I am entering a weekly requirement for week 44 as 500EA and next I go in create a PIR for Month of November a quantity of 6000EA and then I go to the schedule line and split it to Week, now in Week 44, I would get two records(Column) one with 500 and another with 1500EA. Hope your upload was done something similar to this or someone has done this type of split manually after your upload.

Hope I was able to give an overview of the likely problem.

As you rightlysaid 2 columns for the same week are appearing also i found for some materials with different quanitites in the 2 columns.How it is possible.Any idea from you.

I have clearly mentioned in my previous post as why it can happen, anyway copying and pasting the same now for you. Basically for that week demand is created using 2 different periods.

1. Directly for the week.

2. PIR created for another period like Month, is latter split to Weekly quantity using the split functionality in MD62.

Say for example:

Hi Prasobh,

I have given the steps as you said but my customer is telling that they dont do any manuall changes,also please calrify how 2 check whether any upload program is using a SAP standard BAPI's for independent requirement creation and change.

Note:They have not using split functionality too.

Please clarify.
