Hi Gurus

Can you please suggest me the meaning of the following material types ?

ERSA

HIBE

DIEN ( Services ) .....what kind of services ?

ZACTIVO

ZROH

We are actually trying to get some data from SAP spanish system. So, wondering if these are the standard material type in English and if YES, the meaning thereof.

Hi,

Spare parts (ERSA): - Spare parts are used to replace defective parts. They may be kept in stock. A material master record of this material type can contain purchasing data, but not sales data.

Operating supplies (HIBE): - Operating supplies are procured externally and required for the manufacture of other products. A material master record of this material type can contain purchasing data, but not sales data.

Services (DIEN): - Services can be performed internally or procured externally (outsourced). They cannot be stored or transported.

Example: - Construction work, Janitorial/cleaning services, Legal services

ZACTIVO - (This is not a material type since material type can be of only 4 character)

ZROH - This is copy of ROH

Raw materials (ROH): - Raw materials are always procured externally and then processed. A material master record of this type contains purchasing data, but not sales data since they cannot be sold.

Will you be also able to let me know what does commodity code " MHA " under Material type : ERSA and commodity code " MCO " under DIEN ( services ) mean ? Are these standard or customized ?

Commodity Codes MHA and MCO are customized one but material types ERSA and DIEN are SAP Standard.
