material quantity calculation

Dear all,

in master recipe, i want to calculate raw material as per batch characteristics but when i select material tab in master recipe, material calculation tab there is detail screen for material calculation formula where there is no column for characteristics. how could bring that column.

Dear Pravin,

You have to maintain the batch class type characteristics to be used in the quantity calculations of other components and finished material in Material Master under classification view.

Then you have to maintain the propostional units of measure converison for the material batch characteristics in Material Master in Additional data view.

In material quantity calculation , you have to define formulas to calculate the material quantities to be used or obtained in production process taking into account the mixing ratios of the input materials as well as specific batch attributes. example concentration, active ingredient content

You can view this in master recipe press the go to tab click the material quantity calculation. This is the additional function in master recipe for quantity calculation based on defined formulae than routings.

i got my solution , solution is have to assign class characteristics value in the master recipe in the material tab then only that characteristics column comes in the formula screen.

Dear all, who want solution,

Prerequisite is that you have assigned batch class in material master,

In the master recipe, go to the bom from material view and then select material go to extra from menu bar where batch classification is there.select batch classification and assigned value of class characteristics, on basis of that formula to be calculate.

Thanks for the solution,

But i want to know can we restrict to display the material quantity calculation screen while doing batch determination at process order because we have assigned batch entry 3 on all raw materials and at the time of release the batch determination is working so every time the MQC screen will get displayed.

Please provide the solution for this as well.
