Material listing

Hi Everyone,

Good day.

I am working as SAP SD consultant. I have got the below requirement from the business.

Whenever a product is included for a particular customer, that product is not available for other customer to place the order. But the business requiement is even if a product is included for one customer, that product is to be available for another customer as well to place the order, which is not possible according to standard SAP.

Any solution or OSS note for this requirement ?

Your post is unclear.

What do you mean by included?

The possibility to create an order with a certain material?

If this is what you meant - in standard you can have listing for the same product for multiple customers, what is the problem that you are facing?

If you actually meant reserving stock - this is a completely different topic, for which one cannot provide useful suggestions based on what you have written.

If your question is about something other than material listing - please edit your post and title so that they reflect what you are trying to figure out.

It would be easier for the community members to help you out if you use SAP terminology and explain in details the business process.

Hi,

It's mainly listing concept.

I have included the material 400005109 for the sold to party 329105 in the VB01. Here the combination is Sales org/distribution channel/Sold to party/material/ valid from and to date.

When I am creating an order for the different sold to party 328992 for this material 400005109, system is throwing below error.

Material 400005109 is not listed and therefore not allowed

Message No. V1118

We know that we can include this material 400005109 in the VB01 for the customer 328992 to resolve the issue. But the business requirement is even if a product is included for one customer, that product is to be available for another customer as well to place the order.

I still do not understand - what is the problem with adding listing also for the other customers?

This is what listing is meant for...

If you don't want to create listings per customer number, because it is too time consuming - then use different criteria for determination - e.g. customer group.

Hi Hari,

You can do one thing to fulfil your requirement, one product you wanted to include for one customer so you need to exclude that product for rest of the customers, than only its possible in standard way.

We dont want to exclude here. We need the materials that are listed for one customer has to be accessed by other customers as well while placing order.
