material availability date issue

attached pls find my MD04 result and VA03 availability, in VA03, when I check availability, why system propose Nov.27? it should post Nov.21, right?

   In your case backward scheduling is failing due to some parameters like pickpack time, loading time,

transit time or transportation lead time but system should propose 24th as delivery creation date but idont know why it is not proposing. please share scheduling dates screen

Hi Jolin, As the material availability date is 24th...system has allowed you to create the delivery note on 24th Nov.

Could you check whether Lead time in days is maintained in the document type or not?

        System is performing delivery scheduling perfectly.

                  Delivery creation date is 24th

                                    PGI Date is 24th

I think you maintained Transit time or Transportation lead time 3 days (in route) Thats why system is showing Customer requested delivery date as 27th.

delivery scheduling by sales document type is attached, columns are deliveryschedul, transpschedule, backwards

as 4 days, it should be Nov.24+4=Nov.28, not Nov.27

Your screen shot shows that 24th is delivery creation date and PGI date but customer goods receiving date is 27th. Please go to Route and check Transit time what you mentioned I think you maintained transit time as 3 days.

Pls find below screen, my material is make to stock strategy group, MRP3: total replenish lead time is zero. sales order 508, creation date: Nov.24, request delivery date is 25.Nov, qty: 3KG, why my confirmed date is Nov.27? how it is calculated? as my material strategy group is make to stock, why sales order affect requirement?

below is my configuration for shipping point:, then under my route to USA by air, it is 4 days(

Transit duration in calendar days), my order date is Nov.24 plus 4 days, it is

Nov.28 not Nov.27, why system said in the availability day it is Nov.27?

My second question is: my order date is Nov.24, request delivery date is: Nov.25, confirmed date is Nov.27.

when I run VL01N, selection date: Nov.24, why I am able to create a delivery?

I expected system allow me to create delivery in Nov.27 (selection date Nov.27 in VL01N)

The requested delivery date is the date by which the customer expects the stock at their location/ unloading point. The material availability date is key for creation of delivery note. Prior to this material availability date, system will not allow us to create the delivery note. Please check the scheduling dates in the sales order schedule lines.

I changed the quantity from 3 to 1, however, VL01N selection still based on today's date Nov.24, I am able to create the delivery,(funny, which is wrong), material availability date is Nov.27

My first question is also not addressed, my total replenish lead time is zero in material master, siva suggested looking at shipping ppint delivery schedule time, which is four hours.

this customer in USA, our route by air takes four days, so material avalilability is supposed to be Nov.24+4 hours or Nov.24+4 hours+4 days?

As the RLT is zero for this material...the material will always be considered as available (even though physically stocks are not available) and hence in this case, the material availability date should be 24th only. Please post the screen print of the scheduling dates of the sales order item.

Hi Jolin,

You have shared the schedule line screen shot.

Here people are referring to Shipping (Scheduling) Dates screen shot of confirmed schedule line.

In your case, select second (Confirmed) schedule line i.e 27.10.2014- 3 or 1 Qty and click on Shipping tab down.

And share this screen shot with us to proceed further.
