HI,
Can any one please give me
What is the Master Data and Transaction Data?
What is the difference between those two in Sap R/3?

Request clarification before answering.
Master Data is remains unchanged over course of time where as Transaction Data changes from timre to time.
Ex. Master Data : BOM, Routing , Workcenter, Plant, Customer, Supplier or Vendor.
Ex. Transaction Data : Planned Order , Sales Order, Purchase requistion , Purchase Order etc.
Hope this may clear u r problem

Master Data will be the base to do anything in SAP, it is the backbone for all the data. This data will be like the Material Master, Vendor Master, Purchase Info Record, Bill of Material, Routing, G/L Accounts, Resources, Work Centers..........
Without the master data we cannot go ahead with any transaction in SAP.
Transaction data will use the data from Master data, basing on which all the transactions will be done. Master Data is like a dye, and transactions are like all the things you make using that dye.
Hope this helps you.

Hi,
BOM,work center,routing,material master,resource,master recipe,PRT etc.
are the example of master data.Master data doesn't change during transaction.
For changing it,you have to go in change mode(eg. mm02,cs02,crc2 etc.)
Purchase requisition, purchase order, planned order,STPO etc. are example of transaction data.It is as a result of transaction.
Reward points if find helpful.
