mass Upload functionality AFC

Hello Team,

we have a lot of task list in FCC board, do we have mass upload functionality in AFC?

can we use one template and task list for multiple backend systems in AFC?

can one user process tasks at a time for multiple backend systems in FCC?

Please provide your suggestion on this.

Hi Claudia,

it's very reasonable to ask this. There are AFC customers with >1.000 entities and a 5-digit number of closing tasks - and it's of course essential that AFC supports an efficient maintainability of such complex closing templates.

Therefore, we have multiple features as mentioned above - a task list model is an abstract definition of a template. You define once a "standard" structure of tasks, then you assign it to one or multiple Company Codes, and the system creates all the tasks automatically. This allows you to scale these tasks very quickly across all your entities. From our next release update in February on, it will even be possible to assign different task list models within one template, for example you could have 50 Company Codes which are production sites - and you assign task list model A to them. Then you also have 20 Company Codes which are sales subsidiaries - and you assign task list model B to them. But the maintenance of the closing structure only needs to be done 2 times, once for the production sites and once for the sales subsidiaries.

Besides the task list models, we have further mechanisms such as the mass-changes of attributes, the top-down derivation of parameters and characteristics such as processing users, responsible users, custom fields etc., which allow to maintain closing templates fast.

Hello Max, After more than 4 years, did you make any enhancement or development to be able to make changes massively? We are going to manage in the future more than 100 entities in our centre and in our experience, we manage hundreds of changes per month. With our current system, we have a Master Data (excel file) with a list of all tasks and all their characteristics in columns, to manage changes, we select which task to change and put the desired value (to-be) and upload it in the system and when uploaded, the system apply the changes. This is useful because we are continuously improving our processes and also introducing new processes. Looking forward to your comments. Omar.

• Q:we have a lot of task list in FCC board, do we have mass upload functionality in AFC? -->A: No, there is no spreadsheet mass upload, but AFC provides multiple mechanisms for an easy and efficient task list maintenance such as task list models and attribute mass changes. From the next release in February on, we plan to allow multiple task list models within one closing template, so task list models become a very powerful function to create templates from scratch very quickly.
• Q:can we use one template and task list for multiple backend systems in AFC? -->Yes, this is planned to be enabled from February 20th on through the next AFC update
• Q:can one user process tasks at a time for multiple backend systems in FCC? -->If you mean AFC, then yes, AFC is built as a cloud-based closing hub and supports exactly the use case of handling a closing process across multiple backend systems

one of my customers is very interested in implementing the AFC - but a manual definition of roundabout 1500 Closing Task is not really something that is easy to explain... Do you know when an upload function will be available?
