MAP calculation

Dear Gurus

please clear my doubt...if material is having present MAP 6.74 in material master and total stock is 2542 then

1. does it means total MAP is 6.74 * 2542=17133.08

2. if now 1000 qty is added ,with new price 1.3 per item then updated MAP is 17133.081300/25421000

=5.20 Rs.

also, if suppose i am removing 500 stock how will the calculation take place.

not necessarily, the MAP is the calculated value, not the total stock value.

you always have to check the total value field MBEW-SALK3 and devide it by the quantity MBEW-LBKUM

the calculated MAP may have much more decimals than the shown 2, and because of this

quantiy multiplied by MAP may not be exactly equal to the total value stored in MBEW-SALK3

There is no MAP calculation with a goods issue, the goods issue is valuated with MAP, so the MAP does not change.

It will gives you the exact summery of callulating Moving avg. price in system and alos it will be helpful to understand on transaction basis.

hi,,,

at initial the MAP is 6.74 and stock is 2542..so total value is 2542*6.74=17133.08

now..again you addes 1000 @ 1.3 then...total stock value would be.....17133.08+(1.3*1000)=18433.08

and MAP would be..total value/total stock....18433.08/3542 = 5.20

now..u r issuing 500stock...so...when u remove/issue material from stock..material is valuated at current MAP i.e. 5.20..

so 500*5.20=2600 value stock is removed...but it didnt affect the MAP of remaining..material...

incoming stock stock explanation is clear thanks alot only problem I have is when stock moves out suppose in this example after new MAP 5.20 if 1000 qty is moving out then now how new MAP will be calculated .

hi...

at the time of GR...material is valuated at the price of purchase order...

but when goods are moving out...then material will be valuated at MAP..

according to ur query..

MAP is 5.20 and goods issue is 1000...

then material will be valuated at 5.20 only,,,

1000*5.20=5200..

After the goods issue MAP for rest of the material will not change...

it remains same...
