Internal order problem

Hi Experts,

Where will we give interlink between Internal order and profit center.

My doubt is when ever user is trying to post the transaction in FB50 after giving the cost object(Internal order) it is going to dummy profit center. Could u plz. suggest where the exact link will be happening.

Hi Bhaskar,

Whenever PCA is activated in the system one profit center has to be created and its mandatory. And that profit center is Dummy profit center. It immaterial whether you are going to use this profit center.

When you have other profit centers in place, you use those profit centers, but some times if you dont assign any profit center for some transactions, the system will collect this data in Dummy profit center. In future, you can transfer these amount collect in dummy profit center to profit center where you want send. This can be sent thru assessment cycles.

Hence, when you pass FB50 transaction without profit center then this amount will be collected in Dummy profit center. If you does not want to use PCA, go ahead and deactivated.

when u create the internal order in KO01 u can enter the profit center under the assignment tab...

if u have already created internal order than u can go and make changes in KO02 and add profit center that u want under assignment tab..

Hi,

we should assign profit center to any of cost objects such as cost center or internal order.That means the cost that is posted to internal order will be automatically posted to profit center that is assigned in Internal order Master Record creation (KO01 or KO02).

Sometimes we may forget to assign the Profit center to Internal orders.All postings to this internal order will be picked by Dummy Profit Center.We can analysis of Costs in Dummy Profit Center during month end processing.
