how to change task list type while creating

Hello mentors,

I have maintained four types of task list for pm task list  and maintained usage 004 in the work center.screen shot is attached. while creating through ia01 E automatically takes,ia05 A automatically takes & ia11 T automatically takes, but if i want to use Q type then how to change. kindly help as it is urgent.

task List Type Q is used for inspection plans. Use transaction code QP01. But those task list types cannot be used for PM purposes. They require a header level component.

You cannot change it once created.

Hi Sameer,

Task list types A, E and T belongs to application are "I". Its highly recommended that you should not change it. These table are cross client.  Instead, If your requirement is based on some quality inspection related stuff, please use QP01.

In settings, you can remove Q type assignment for plant maintenance.Mainly it is used to create a task list against inspection plan.Try using QP01, to get an idea.You an also check with your PP consultant.For example This inspection plan is used at the time of stock transfers  and Goods receipt for certain validity period.

As normally for PM functionality, by default system will pull task list type  A when we execute IA05 & E when we execute IA01 & T when we execute IA11.

As per SAP,Task List Type is the Key which classifies task lists  according to their functionality.
