Group Reporting - Group currency version reference changes

Hi All,  

Have a query on GC extension version settings change. 

Background:

We have a standard version A10 and one group currency version A20 referring standard version A1. Business had posted some transaction data into both for a period. Now business decided not to use the group currency extension version, and they are requesting us to make it not usable or delete the extension version. Also they have understood that when the CT task is being run in data monitor for standard version A10, Its posting values in A20 as well and they wish to stop automatic postings in A20. 

Considering the fact that versions cannot be deleted we been looking for alternatives stop automatic postings into GC extension version. 

Alternative:

We have changed the reference version values from A10 to Y10 and updated special version values in A20 to match Y10. As part of checks have triggered "Release universal task" in A10 and we are facing error "CX Root error " and data is not getting pulled.
