Which system message can I use to enforce end users to reference documents when doing goods issue

Make the Referenc Documents (eg Purchase order, Reservation, etc ) mandatory for the Movement types in customizing (OMJJ)

Which field do you set mandatory?

Which ever document you want the user to refer.

example : if you want that all issues to subcontractor (541) should happen wrt PO , you make teh field EBELN as Mandatory in OMJJ -Field Selection

This is working for Enjoy Transactions but now if i want to do the restrictions in MB1A where can i enforce to reference the documents?

Im OMJJ itself, there are two nodes to change field selection.

When you go to OMJJ and enter the Movement type , a screen opens up. At the left side you have all Parameters for the movement type. like Short texts, Allowed transactions etc,. below "Help texts" you have 2 nodes one is 1. ) "Field selection(from 201 )batch search procedure , and other is2) Field selection (Enjoy) . use the First option . Click on it and then click on the 'materials management" tab on the next screen.

I have been on this screen before but i do not see where do i enforce the reference documents

When you click on "FIELD SELECTION(From 201) ... in the subsequent screen , select the first line item ( which shows the movement type special stock indicator etc.) and click on the magnifying glass. This will open up "Display field status group" screen. In this screen double click on the screen group named ""materials management " There you can set the status of reference documents like 'Purchase orders" , "reservations" etc as Suppressed/redq./optional.

For this it is better for u to make this mandatory for individual movement type.

Go to OMJJ,

Give movement type and go to field Selection Enjoy and make

SGTXT	Text

as mandatory

Hi,

You may do the config for the respective movement type and make "SGTXT- Text" field a required entry
