Hi all,

The value of the historical consumptions in forecasting are based on the movement types. We have the case that some of the movements that forecasting is taking into consideration are not relevant for us and some movements of our interest are not used in the calculation.

As far as we can see the movement type can be relevant or not depending on the parameter that is informed in the u201CConsumption postingu201D field in T-code OMJJ. If this is not viable we are thinking on loading alternative historical data from BW.

Someone knows which is the impact of changing this parameter?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

To acheive this you have to maintain No consumption update in Consumption posting field in the movement type at OMJJ. If it is selected no consumption data will not be updated when you use this movement type in transactions. I f you use other planning procedures of CBP,reorder point and time phased planning, these movement types may need to update the consumption data. Depending on your requirement you set this selection. I hope this will help you. Thanking you.

Thanks for the response.

So I understand that we could modify the Consumption posting parameter to our requirement, even if the movement type is standard. For example it has no sense that mvt 641 has the R informed (so the consumption is updated), but its reversal 642 mvt is in blank (no consumption updating). So we are going to modifiy 642 with R, and nothing but the "Total consumption" used in Forecasting will be affected.

Please confirm us if we are right.

Thank you.
