Hi,

May I know how to name this transaction code? Can I call it 'journal' or 'register' where it is a place to enter the journal entries?

Thanks

FB01 could be used for any positng type without restriction. You can post GL Journal, AP Invoice, AR Invoice, Asset postings using FB01. The only difference is that you need to change the posting keys and S/K/D accounts as per your requirement. In other words it is for used for all accounting postings.

These transactions are most commonly referred as 'Journal Entries'. Some other terms are 'Journal postings', G/L entries', 'G/L postings' etc.

It is not a register. It is tool (t-code)to pass the entries in SAP. You may call it journal entry passing tool.
