Hi Meera,
Organization management is a object-oriented design, where each element in an organization represents a stand alone objects (Organizational unit, position, person, job, cost center.). These objects are linked together using relationships (Belongs to, Reports to, Describes), to form a network that has the flexibility to perform planning, forecasting and reporting.
Here to form the network of the organization, the objects are linked by the relationships, several linked objects represents the organizational structure.
Relationships can be reciprocal or single sided,
Reciprocal relationship example:
A job describes a position or A position is described by a job
Single sided relationship example:
the cost center relation ship to a organization unit could be one-sided(optional)
Evaluation path defines the relationship with which the structure is to be created (In other words relationship is the connection between two objects in the org structure whereas evaluation path defines the flow of the organizational structure).Objects can have multiple relationships and it is not possible for all of them to be included in a single view. General Structures and Matrix organization focuses on explicitly maintaining of evaluation path in more detail.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
An evaluation path is a chain of relationships between objects in a hierarchical structure.
For example, the evaluation path O-S-P describes the relationship chain: organizational unit -> position -> person ->. Evaluation paths are used for the selection of objects in evaluations. You select an evaluation path and the system evaluates the structure along this evaluation path. The report only takes into account the objects that it finds using the specified evaluation path.
To configure
Follow SPRO>Personnel Management>Organizational Management>Basic Settings>Maintain Evaluation Paths
or tcode OOAW
