Error while creating billing document using app: manage project billing

Hi Team.

When I am trying to create billing document using app: Manage project billing for a customer project in SAP S4Hana Public cloud system, system is giving below error message.

'Creation of the billing document request failed.

BDR with preceding document 1000000043 has not been created due to item errors.'

Can anyone please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Hi Manish,

There can many reasons that this error might be occurring.

1) It can be due to inconsistency in the costs i.e. "Amount to be Billed" and the "Amount" entered in the bill milestone.

2) "Billing Due Date" maintained in the milestone should be in between "Assigned Work Package Dates".

3) Finally, "Contract Type" and the "Item Usage" type might be inconsistent.

Based on this please check the succeeding line items under the Billing tab where the succeeding work packages are assigned.

Hello Manish. In addition to above checks given from SAP, Please check "Delivering Plant" is maintained in the material master for the sales organization you have used and maintained in the project. Please make sure that the value is maintained in the material that you are using in project billing as well as the profitability material (P002 if you use the standard).
