Equal Distribution using lead time offset

Hi All,

Please can someone answer the following query.

I have a BOM component (HALB) set with equal Distribution key (GLEI). A Prd Order is created which runs over 7 days. Start Date = 14.11.2019; End date 20.11.2019.

When MRP Runs the OrdRes is split equally over 7 days - as expected.

If I add a Lead Time Offset of -1 and re run MRP the split changes over 8 days. So the first OrdRes is set for 13.11.2019 and the final OrdRes is set for 20.11.2019.

If I add a Lead Time Offset of -3 and re run MRP the split changes over 8 days. So the first OrdRes is set for 11.11.2019 and the final OrdRes is set for 18.11.2019.

Can some explain why the distribution is initially distributed exactly over the number of days production (7 Days) but increases to 8 days when an negative lead time offset is set.

For information if I set a positive Lead Time, the system always divides equally according to the number of days production. i.e 7 Days
