Hi,
Down payment request is "noted" item. It is not real posting and it is not part of the account balance, whereas down payment is a real accounting document.

Hi
Down payment request is a noted item which means that it will not impact the balance of any G/L account.
Down payment is actual payment and real postings are happen in the G/L account. There can be various types of down payments like down payment for purchasing asset etc.
For making a down payment, down payment request is mandatory. You can not make a down payment without having a down payment request.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Down Pay Request: Down payment request is considered as noted item. This is one sided posting. No effect in GL balances. This is just for keeping track of requests from business partners. TC: F-47
Down Payments: Down payments are aquisition postings that are identified with special transaction types. For ex: F, A, I etc., TC: F-48
Thanks
