Data source join between project and purchase orders

Hi SAP experts,

I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if someone here had a requirement to join the project data source with the purchase orders and overcome the following warning/error message:

"The Field Baseline Plan Data Details-Base Task of type UUID does not fit to field Purchase Order Account Assignment-Project Task of type ProjectElementID"

I am getting the same message regardless of which project's data source (Baseline Plan Data Details or Project Cost and Revenue - Aggregated) or joins type I am using.

My problem is that I cannot pull out the project's information such as plan or baseline values by project task with the purchase orders on the same data source and report. This is because the values are repeating, and I cannot correct this using any key figures calculation or restriction.

Has someone had a similar requirement or could find out a way to solve it?

I appreciate if you could share your thoughts or any suggestion of how to solve this issue.

Hi Pedro,

try data source Purchase order account assignment with data source project line items, that should give you the best connection but i'm not sure how many data you will see about base line in project line items.

Thank you for the suggestion; however, I am getting the same message:

"The Field Purchase Order Account Assignment-Project Task of type ProjectElementID does not fit to field Project Line Items-Project Task of type UUID"

It seems I cannot join the project and purchase order without compromising the key figures. Because of this message, the data source and report are not correctly considering the Baseline amount of company currency. Still, it is multiplying the number based on the number of POs and Items associated with the project task.

Example: The baseline amount is 163.480.000,00 USD; however, this number is repeating because of the PO 117 and 118, as you can see below:

I would have 10 times the baseline amount of company currency if I had 1 PO with 10 items to any combination, bringing 10 rows.

I tried to create a restricted key figure; however, it did not work because of the field type and message.

The requirement at a high level is to bring the plan and baseline information with the created Purchase orders even though there is no posting for the project. "How much have I plan and baseline for the project and how much have I committed on my POs?"
