Data Migration using LSMW

I would like to know whether it is neccessary, to go through recording process when migration GL account codes from Legacy to sap using LSMW, I know you have to go through Recording if you are migrating Vendors or Customers Master data. Any ideas?

Hi,

You can record or you can use standard SAP program(RFBISA00) to create upload GL master records lsmw.

Can I use existing exel file using this program RFBISA00 or the excel file have to converted to a different format and is RFBISA00 program already integrated into Sap R/3 4.7. Thanks

Hi,

You have to create LSMW using the program(RFBISA00 ) with required fields and then you have create Excel file with required data and convert Excel file into .txt before upload into sap.
