hi,
can you give me exact definition and diff between the customizing and configuration??
thanks in advance
Request clarification before answering.
customize : it is more like programming extra to the standard SAP so you can fulfill the needs of the clients ie. ABAP, Z tables etc..
configuration: in SPRO you can do configuration ie setup you company codes, sales organisations, etc...
Please note that the above interpretation is applicable for the US. It is weird that in Europe that we think the other way around.

Hi
In SAP according to the package some of the places are to be like configuration.
Configuration is nothing but basic requirments in SAP as per SAP standard.
like company code, customer group, vendor group, fiscal year, field status, etc.,
Customizing is nothing but according to the client requirments we will do some changes in the SAP. It has to be accepted and available in the SAP package.

Definition:
customizing - to make or change something according to the buyer's or user's needs
configuration - to adjust something or change the controls on a computer or other device so that it can be used in a particular way.
Difference :
That is, in customizing u will make changes to the settings for your need which is already configured.
In configuring u will bring new changes that will make your work easy in the system.
A customized sytem can be in your configured way, but a configured sytem will not be as the way you want it be working so u have to configure and so it will need customizing..
so for customizing a system first you have to do configuration.

Hi,
As per my knowledge configuration means we will do the standard practise what is need for business and Customisation means it will not give standard package you have to change or design as per business Requirement.
