Customer Master Data cleansing

Please give inputs for customer master data cleansing. Need to propose solution to the client. SAP MDM is not in scope of the project

There is duplication or redundancy in the customer master data, how to do cleansing for this.

hi,

this is wat we did, we took the downloads of all customer data for the three views. we took the general data as the master or reference data, cleaned it first and then moved on to correct or create new data on the basis of this data. while creating new data or while deleting old data plz make sure about teh open docs, open payments, credit limits. a lot of work will have to be done on excel sheets and will call for some important decisions to be taken. we then uploaded the data using BDCs.

hi,

none that i knw of. we did it all manualy and we cleaned 18k unique records. it will call for a lot of time, effort and dont exect it to be error free. depending on the volume of data the % of correctness wud vary. i did not get wat u mean by BAS.
