Hi experts,

Developers are asking for the possibility of accessing the database memory when working with BADIs in SAP S/4Hana Cloud.

At the moment, some BADIs such as the "Check of Purchase Order Before Saving" BADI can access the database memory. However, some other BADIs cannot access this information...

Developers are asking for the possibility of accessing the database memory of the following BADI:

Journal Entry Header Substitution

The BADI that is being used is trying to recover the Billing Document from the Journal Entry 1900000000 in the CDS I_JournalEntryOperationalView.

However, the Journal Entry 1900000000 is not registered in the CDS when the BADI is executed (during the creation).

Here it is a detailed explanation of the problem developers are facing.

Does anyone have some information concercing this subject?

I have already open an improvement request in case you want to vote:

Thank you very much in advance for your kind attention,

Hi jorgecardos ,

From my understanding, your requirement is to bring the extension field Selfbilling Number into the Journal Entry header, correct?

But the Selfbilling Number filed is not visible in the Journal Entry Header Substitution, am I right?

Best Regards,

Owen
