Cloud Computing in SAP

Hello there,

I was reading about Cloud Computing, and everywhere, it says that this will be the "future" of IT and the end of Outsourcing services.

I want to know, what do you guys think about that. If you think it will affect us, and if yes, how we should adapt to this new market.

Diogo,

Cloud computing will become more important than it is today. However, any further predictions are speculative and premature.

I remember in the '80s when they told us that CP/M Operating System running on a Z80 microprocesser would dominate the small system landscape of the future. When was the last time you saw CP/M running on any computer?.

My personal opinion is that cloud computing has a niche, but is never going to dominate "large business" enterprise software. Time will tell.

I agree with you DB.

for me, it is hard to believe that large companies will be comfortable with all their data in a Cloud somewhere.

let's wait and see what happen!!

I was hearing offlate the cloud computing is at very highlevel, we are now branching like private cloud, govt cloud,pUblic cloud etc.

also CC at hetrogenous environment looks still challenging..

But i also read some thing about the AWS( ithink amazonwebservices) offering the cc for lot..

long dicusssoin expected..
