How can tax code (input tax) description can be changed?

I agree.. But do you not really think that the reply from Former Member does make sense for MM forum ?
I have just given the thread because I found this thread in top by searching in Google with the key term "change description of a tax code in sap"

I have searched the forum wel, & with the Prasoons reply I came to know the way to do it.
Also one of that thread is of SAP B1 of Mohabad, does it the way to do the task, locking in all !!!!
Yes , there was not a clear answer on the SCN, hence I asked it.
I have searched the forum with "change description of a tax code in sap" but no body had answered otherwise why I will ask such thing if I am getting answered.

Yes you can change the description of a tax code.
Execute Tcode FTXP, select the tax code you wish to change with the associated procedure andr jurisdiction code as if you plan to make a rate change. Then select "GoTo ->Properties" from the top menu. It will open up the description field for modification. Make the change and save it. Once you re-enter the tax code again, it will appear with the new description.
Now leave the B1 or A1. Just compare this reply with Prasoon's reply and tell me the differences between these two replies.
