Changing a Reference Operation Set via BAPI

Hi,

We have the requirement to change a Reference Operation Set via a BAPI (easier said than done).

We are using the BAPI, /SAPMP/BAPI_ROUTING_PROCESS to create and change Routings (instead of BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE as it supports Change Notes with Parameter Effectivity, i.e. can be maintained through CEWB, the Engineering Workbench) and have modified it so that it also supports creating Ref Ops Sets by changing the Task List Type from N to S. This allows us to create Ref Ops Sets, but won't allow us to change Ref Ops Sets - when in change mode, it tries to insert a new one instead of changing it.

Does anyone have any experience with changing Ref Ops Sets using BAPIs and can shed some light on how it was achieved?

Are you working with external number assignments?

Note that transaction /SAPMP/ROUTING was developed specifically for customers from the IS-Cable solution for migration purposes. Therefore, not all of the functions and cases are supported. You must refer to the further additions in SAP Note 1071948
