Hi all,
Can anyone please explain how to look for configuration of BAI codes. My user is trying to change BAI codes.
Thanks,
Shravya
Request clarification before answering.
Execute T Code SPRO, click on SAP Reference IMG (or press F5) and follow the following path:
Financial Accounting -> Bank Accounting -> Business Transactions -> Payment Transactions -> Electronic Bank Statement -> Make Global Settings for Electronic Bank Statement
Double-click on 'Create Transaction Type' in the Dialog Structure, create one, then select it and double-click on 'Assign External Transaction Types to Posting Rules'. You should have already done the other preceding steps in the Dialog Structure. You should get the external business transaction from your bank.
Check the following link.

One more thing, you said your user is trying to change BAI codes. But, this is a customizing activity. You need to save changes onto a transport request and ship the changes from your Dev to Prod system (after testing in QA, of course!)

Hi Srikanth,
Thanks for ur prompt reply. Actually iam a MM person and have never integrated with FI. Is there any document or any website which expains everything about what, why n how about FI configuration, workflow scenarios, etc., Basically iam into production support and as there is no FICO person in our team, I am reposible for that module too.
Thanks,
Shravya
Electronic bank statements is a pure FI configuration and not an integration point with MM. I will restrict my response to BAI codes only. Go to the following link.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/43/0bd87b43de11d1896f0000e8322d00/frameset.htm
Click on 'Recommended Sequence of Configuration Tasks' in the tree to the left.

Being an MM consultant, you must be knowing what it takes to become a functional consultant in any module in SAP. You have to repeat all you have done (in becoming an MM consultant) to become an FI consultant.

I think you should tell whoever is asking you to do this configuration that it is not your job. Do not take responsibilities that you cannot carry out.
Finally, where are my points for my previous response to your query.
