Automatic Status Profile Assignment.

Hi.

I have Created User Status Profile ZFD

ZFD-01 Not assigned to SO-Initial

02 Assigned to SO

I have put" Goods Receipt" Business transaction in 01 Status.

So when i do Goods receipt MB1C- 561 the Status profile ZFD should automatically assigned to particular Serial no & Material.

there should not be need to GOto IQ02 & Assign Ststus Profile.

How to Achieve this???

Amol,

You should be able to assign the the status profile to the equipment category that's associated to the serialization profile of MATERIAL / SERIAL Number combination(You dont have to create a Equipment master though for this).SPRO > PM> MASTER DATA> Technical Objects > Equipment > Assign user status profile for equipment category.

Hi Narasimhan,

Its assigned Automatically after Assigning Status Profile to Equipment.

But is it possible to Change status Automatically from Status 1 to Status 2 After Assigning Serial number to Sales Order???

Right now i have to Go to IQ02 to change it manually

I am guessing it should be possible..Please check the below setting out. I havent tried this with a sales order.

There is a business transaction called "Order Assigned" for the equipment object,set the second user status to be "SET" for this transaction and try it out(Double click on your user status and Choose the create push button to assign the business transactions). I think this would satisfy your needs.

There are other business transactions (Like goods issue, service contract assignment ..) that may be of help.

However, Whats the business requirement ? once the serial material is assigned to Sales order , will it never return back or be unassigned from sales order?

will only help you in assigning a status profile that would indicate which status you could assign for given equipment .

This will NOT and i mention NOT help you automatically assign any user status to a given eqipment.

User status profile for which object? (Equipmetn, Floc, order or notification...)

What is your business requirement?

What do you mean by SO?

If you want assign a status profile for material serial number,

Mark one status (which is to be assigned while GR'ing) as initial in the Status profile

Assign the status profile to an Equipment category

Assign that category in the serial number profile

If you GR the material with serial number automatically create an Equipment with the given Equipment cateogry and assign the status (initial)... you can view in IQ02

If it does not help, please provide your business requirement

My Business requirement is once Serial no assigned to Sales Order(SO) it should not be assigned to any other Sales Order.

So i have created Profile ZFD with two statuses 01 & 02 As mentioned earlier.

in 01 Assigned to SO i have made entries as Order Assignment Forbiden.

so when i manually change it from 02 to 01 system doesnot allow.

But my question is How to Assign status profile to Serial number without going to Iq02.

ie. While Gods Receipt MB1C

Note:- My material in not Equipment. its FERT material...

Hi,

To my knowledge, Whether you like it or not, system will create an Equipment number whenever you are making material movement of a Serialized materil. You can maintain the User status in IQXX only... I dont find any other way...

Anyhow, now I dont have a SAP system to analyse. Shall discuss after testing from my side... Also let's wait for others comments on this...
