Hi all,

Is it possible to automatically create sales order from a purchase order.

We use a specific group of BP (called "internal") to identify a purchase order made by an internal BP to an internal BP.

We would like to generate automatically the corresponding sales order in this case.

Any suggestion ?

Thanks for your advices

Hi,

Currently it is not possible in all SAP B1 versions either still under maintenance period or not.

if you have many POs, you can use DTW addon to create sales order from PO but it is still manual. You need to create SO template at first based on the PO. you need to create udf or use customer reference no. as the field to input the PO number in the SO.

Hi Damien.....

This is very logical and your demand is very legal.

You may approach to SAP for this to be incorporated in next version......

Hi,

B1 only support the automatic PO creation by SO. It may not be logical to create SO automatically through PO. You may try to reverse what you are doing now to utilize system function.

Gordon, thanks for your answer.

Anyway, it could be logicial when you want to modelize internal so /po.

We have a R&D service creating PO for our production service.
Initial event, in this case, is really the PO and should create a SO  (not the contrary)

In your special case it is perfectly logical. However, it may not apply to general business process.

I believe, you may only use SDK to develop add-on to achieve your goal.
