Automatic Batch Number Creation

Hi Experts,

I have created my items to be managed by "Batches". When I goods receipt the item I want the batch numbers to be automatically created and for me to select the next in a sequential order.

Basically, when I select add, the batches setup screen opens. I would like the batch numbers in a sequential order to appear and I select the next available batch.

How can I do this?

Yes I require predefined batch numbers.

It is not possible to get such predefined batch number in batch setup window. Atleast, you need to define first string to create auto batch number in creating string for batches window.

When you say "automatic Batch creation in B1 Client" - how do I do that?

Our company manage stock in 'packs' and therefore if we Goods Receipt, GRPO or Receipt from Production we have to select a batch number to therefore allocate a unique Pack label to attach to the products.

Hi Paul,

you can:

1. use automatic batch creation in b1 client
2. create an addon that would do the dirty work for you
3. think about using batch numbers for output only option in items master data. this option let you assign batch numbers later when you need to move your item from the initial warehouse.
