hi,

I've made an Add-on and it is currently running without AddonIdentifier. In January 2006 this property will be mandatory.

Someone know how can I get a valid AddonIdentifier for my Add-On?

Hi Serge,

To create the AddOnIdentifier you must use the menu Administration -> License -> Add-on identifier generator.

While running in Debug mode you can use the addon identifier generated with the Development option.

Once you want to deliver your addon to your customer you must then generate an other AddOnIdentifier with the Solution option. For that you need a LicenseKeyName.

To obtain a licenseKeyName you have to create a message to the support on the component SBO-BC-LIKEY asking for a LicenseKeyName.

All Add-Ons must can be recognized by the License Service through the Add-On identifier.

Note the Add-On Identifier Generator form can only be opened by users which have a valid SDK development or implementation license.

To generate a Solution Identifier a License Key Name for this solution must be requested from SAP. Through the License Key Name this Add-On is later on displayed in the SAP Service Marketplace License Order Window (-> License Ordering).

Please note the Add-On Identifier Generator form can only be opened by users which have a valid SDK development or implementation license.

If a license for a customer specific solution should be requested which is not displayed in the solution list, the partner can register his/her solution and will see it in his/her personalized license request form. A License Key Name for this solution will be sent to the requesting partner to generate the respective Add-On Identifier for the Add-On. The license file including this solution will be sent to the partner as well. It’s the responsibility of the partner to install the license file in the license service.

Thus Go to Admin->License->Add On Identifier Generator

Select Solution and enter the client license key name &

create your identifier
