Activity Type Master Data

Hi

I have a question with regard to Activity Type master data (KL01). From the below list, what fields can I make Mandatory (M) & what fields can I make Optional (O).

Activity Type M - Mandatory

Validity Period From M - Mandatory

Validity Period To M - Mandatory

Basic Data

Name M - Mandatory

Description M - Mandatory

Activity Unit M - Mandatory

Cost Center Categories M - Mandatory

Acitvity Type Category M - Mandatory

Allocation Cost Element M - Mandatory

Price Indicator M - Mandatory

Actual Activity Type Category M - Mandatory

Actual Price Indicator M - Mandatory

Hi

I guess the Std system is designed well enough in this case and no changes are required

Almost all of these are mandatory in the system and are required to be so

May be the description is not mandatory and it copies from the Name field

the field cost element is not mandatory of Act type Category is 3...

I wud recommend you to let the std system as it is, as I dont see any value addition because of any changes in it
