Prerequisites to enable eDocuments
To enable eDocuments, you need to configure a communication arrangement and communication system. This involves setting up a new communication arrangement for each system you want to use for eDocuments.

Maintaining Initial Configuration
In Colombia, individuals and businesses are required to obtain a Tax ID, referred to as the "Número de Identificación Tributaria" or NIT. Considering that this is an individual number, a configuration at the company level is necessary for the Colombia eDocument. It can be done through SSCUI 102739 Maintain Additional Parameters.

The Value Mappings are responsible for determining which specific value will be used to fill a particular field in the XML file. These values can be maintained in the Configure Value Mapping app, following SAP Help Configuring Value Mappings. The mandatory Values are: CUSTOMIZATION_ID, DOCUMENT_ID_TYPE, PAYMENT_MEANS, PAYMENT_MEANS_ID, SOFTWARE_INFO, TAX_LEVEL_CODE and TAX_TYPE_CUSTOMER.
