Why Devtoberfest keeps me coming back

Hello world, and happy Devtoberfest!

Since 2022, I’ve been taking part in SAP Devtoberfest. What started out as a fun experiment has quickly turned into a tradition that I look forward to each year.

Devtoberfest is much more than collecting points or badges. It’s about learning in a playful way, exploring new aspects of the SAP ecosystem, and feeling the great energy of the SAP Community. Each task, whether challenging or simple, brings something new. Sometimes a smile, sometimes an “aha” moment that finds its way into my daily work. The 2025 Devtoberfest is still running, and once again it has already given me many of those moments.

A personal highlight for me was being one of the winners in 2023. The prize trip took place in November 2024 and included the chance to attend ASUG TechConnect in West Palm Beach and to visit Disney World in Orlando together with the other winners and the SAP Developer Advocates. The time we spent together was inspiring and made the community spirit come alive.

None of this would be possible without the dedicated work of the SAP Developer Advocates and everyone supporting them behind the scenes. You create an event that connects developers around the world, motivates them, and makes learning fun. For that, I want to say a heartfelt thank you.
