sap hostagent not starting

HI all,

while trying to start sap host agent im getting below error, please suggest

Seems to me your directory structure is incorrect... it should be "/usr/sap" not "/usrsap/"

Hence your variables are pointing to the wrong path.

Hi,

Following your issue, I would suggest you to 1st check if the physically the path & files are existing. If not, you may need to install the saphostagent seperately. If installed, I can suggest to check the permission ownership sapadm:sapsys for all files inside /usr/sap/hostctrl

You can try to run the command as below,

/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/sapstartsrv pf=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/<start or instance profile>

Also, Check the /etc/hosts file

Also you will get saphostagent logs in /usr/sap/hostctrl/work, please add logs if the above does not work-out for you
