Hello ,

I'm trying to connect FTP server for reading file and to update in SAP . The FTP works from Filezilla just to make sure firewall isn't blocking but when we access from SAP it throws communication error .

Could you please help to me understand the prerequisite from basis end and what needs to be checked from administrator perspective like certficates or SSL , ... ?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Guna.

Kindly refer the SAP note link error message "NIECONN_BROKEN:TCP/IP Network Connection Broken in getreply" after connected the FTP site.

Hi GUNA J,

In your scenario, it would look like you are new into configuring FTP details for your SAP application. In such case would suggest to use password based authentication. Once it gets stabled In that scenario you can configure certificate based authentication. For you error, would suggest to check the logs with help from your Network guys as then you would be able to understand communication & try combinations

Thanks,

Kaushik

[Thr 10312] [9732] connect request host : xxx.XXXX.com , user : xxxxxxx

[Thr 10312] [9732] Connected to xxx.xxxx.com Port 2222.

What is the port you are using when you connect using Filezilla? It could be that the port is wrong when tested from SAP. Also try enabling the passive mode and check if that helps.
